1) I got a new job as an administrative assistant. It pays pretty good and the benefits are pretty amazing. The only downfall is the hour commute each way in heavy traffic.

2) Henry and I are still at it. But I feel like there’s no intimacy anymore. If I see him at all, I might get a peck on the cheek. It’s disheartening thinking of what I could get elsewhere but I don’t want it elsewhere. I want it from him. Love and affection, simple stuff.

3) Here’s the TMI part. I got a menstrual cup a few weeks ago. So when my period started up last week, I decided to try it out. Overall this was one of the worst experiences of my life. Not because of a problem with the condition but because my period was different from previous adventures, heavier, thicker, and really unlike anything I’ve experienced before. Just ew. I’ll give the cup another go next time.

  1. Congratulations on the new job! If you end up liking the AdminAssist kind of work, maybe after some time you can find something closer to home? Long commutes stink. I didn’t enjoy them when I worked for the bank (and I’ve sworn off any commute longer than 20 minutes lol), but I know some people think of it as a time to be alone. Meh, I think there are better ways to acquire alone time :-\

I’ve only ever used pads. The thought of tampons (or anything inside a body for a long amount of time) really freaks me out big time. I don’t even know how the cups are supposed to work, how often to change/empty them, etc. But hopefully the cup will work better for you next time.

  2. Congrats on the new job. I commute and have done so for many years. It can be at least an hour each way, and at times 2+ depending on traffic issues. But the trade off is I get to live where I live.
I had a girlfriend who for the first few days at the start of her period, had to use a towel at night between her legs as she bled so much. And would use the heaviest pad and tampon combo too.
I can relate to the feelings issue. I tried talking and it would be ok for a bit but then fad away. I went elsewhere to get what I desired.
